The Å®Óźϼ¯ Alert notification system is used to release information about emergencies (incidents) that may disrupt university operations. Persons with an active employment status and current students within the Å®Óźϼ¯ system are automatically enrolled but can manage their preferences.

Donors and sponsors at Saturday's Blue & Gold Celebration contributed more than $315,000 to support scholarships for University of Alaska Fairbanks students, nearly doubling the amount raised in 2024.

Town Hall Sept. 23: Scholarship Management Update

The Å®Óźϼ¯ Foundation Board of Directors has approved a formal Scholarship Management Policy, in alignment with the Å®Óźϼ¯ Board of Regents' Student First Attainment Framework. Å®Óźϼ¯ is on schedule for the new scholarship management system, AWARDED, to go live on Oct. 1, 2025.

New Financial Aid and Student Account Pages in Å®Óźϼ¯Online

Update on Staff Unionization Efforts

Å®Óźϼ¯ is continuing to work with the Alaska Labor Relations Agency (ALRA) regarding ongoing efforts by some staff to form a union. The University is currently determining which employees are eligible to be represented by the union if it is ultimately formed.

University of Alaska Regents highlight enrollment growth, review budgets at September Board Meeting

FY26 faculty initiative fund request for proposals is open until October 6

A financial commitment of at least $360,000 by Å®Óźϼ¯ for FY26 is identified as the Faculty Initiative Fund (FIF) aimed at fostering an institutionalized environment of cross-campus communication that inspires learning and disseminates knowledge while fostering the exchange and advancement of new, more efficient approaches to educating Alaskans and engendering high academic standards.
