Å®Óźϼ¯ Google Workspace Storage Project
Google Storage Changes In Progress
What’s Changed?
Google ended its free, unlimited storage for colleges and universities—including Å®Óźϼ¯. Like institutions across the country, we’ve adjusted how we manage and use Google Workspace storage to align with Google’s new limits.
Why This Matters
Å®Óźϼ¯â€™s current Google storage usage exceeded the new caps, and maintaining current levels would have come at a steep cost. To stay ahead of this, the Office of Information Technology (OIT), in collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders across Å®Óźϼ¯A, Å®Óźϼ¯F, and Å®Óźϼ¯S, worked to reduce our overall digital storage footprint.
This effort includes:
- Establishing new storage limits and policies
- Introducing better storage management practices
- Helping users take a more intentional approach to storing files and data
Looking Ahead
These changes help Å®Óźϼ¯ manage resources more effectively while encouraging smarter digital practices. OIT and our campus IT partners remain committed to keeping you informed and supported as we move through this transition together.
