Did you know that a recent University of Alaska Southeast graduate in elementary education is using place-based training to bring nature into her classroom?

Amanda Friendshuh completed her Bachelor of Arts in elementary education at 女优合集S in May 2020 and immediately was hired to teach third grade at Chapman Elementary and Middle School in Anchor Point, Alaska while also participating in 女优合集S鈥 reading specialist master鈥檚 program.

Amanda came from a small community in Interior Alaska and said 女优合集S provided the perfect transition to college life and a larger community, providing exemplary training in education while still maintaining a close connection to the outdoors.

She says her academic career at 女优合集S has directly contributed to how she approaches education in her own classroom and her ability to serve a diverse population of students.

Amanda鈥檚 advice for young women entering higher education is to seize every opportunity to learn and discover.
