The importance of a primary care physician

Choosing a primary care provider is crucial for managing long-term health, offering
preventative care, and acting as the main point of contact for medical needs. Having
a primary care provider leads to better health outcomes and lower overall costs. Establishing
a primary care provider improves preventative care, leads to fewer emergency room
visits, and offers greater satisfaction with their healthcare plan.
To find a primary care physician who is in-network, you can go to the and login. From there, click on "Find Care" in the toolbar at the top and "Find a
Doctor" in the dropdown menu. The following page will allow you to search for a provider,
locate virtual care, call the 24-hour nurse hotline, and more. To find an in-network
provider, be sure you are logged in. If prompted, you may need to use the Yukon network
and then use your city, state or zip code.
